Wireless Local Provider (WLP)

The Wireless Local Provider (WLP) is the hardware part of the Mobitouch platform, completely designed and produced by Waymedia. With its small dimensions and its robust fanless architecture it can be installed practically everywhere and in every condition!

 

 

The WLP can work both in stand-alone mode (no network connection required) or in networked mode (constantly controlled via the CMS). The WLP can be reached in many ways: LAN, WiFi, GSM/GPRS, Wi-Max or even via USB plug for on-the-fly system update and firmware upload. In addition the WLP comes already equipped with a Multi-Plug power socket to fit to specific Country power outlets.

 

WLPs come with these  configurations:

 

  • WLP 20 - Entry level system, 2 radios, 14 connections max.
  • WLP 40i - 28 connections max, features Device Identification and networking (all radios integrated inside the unit)
  • WLP 80 - 56 parallel connections for unmatched power!

Options available WLP are:

  • GSM/GPRS Modem for Remote Connectivity (WLP40G)
  • Wi-Fi (802.11g)
  • Battery Pack, which includes adapted power converter and Cables (WLP40B)
